The Lost Coin

I tend to lose items all the time. Last week it was my keys, and I still can’t find them! Now I’m a getting frustrated as the days pass by. Did you know there’s a story in the Bible about a woman who lost a coin? (You can find this story in Luke 15:8-10).

WHY IS THIS IN THE BIBLE?

This woman had ten silver coins, but lost one. She truly wanted to find it, so she lighted a lamp, swept the house and searched carefully until she finally found it! But the story doesn’t end there… she calls her friends and neighbors together and said, “Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin!” I bet it was a very special or expensive coin, since she threw a party when she found it.

You may be wondering, why on earth is this story in the Bible! Well, it was actually Jesus the one that told this story to clarify something. He said: “In that same way, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

With this story, Jesus was trying to tell us how precious we are for him. When we’re lost, He does everything to find us! He may send a dear friend, or a stranger even to share His love towards us. He will send us little whispers of love until we accept it.

Just like this woman (and me), He will do anything to find YOU! And you know what’s the most beautiful thing? He wants to find you because He wants to give you an eternal life. He wants to comfort you, restore you, fill you with his unending love, joy and peace. Jesus wants to bring you out of the darkness where you’re hiding, and show you his beautiful light. And when He finds you, He will rejoice in Heaven with the angels.

“I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love. To them I was like one who lifts a little child to the cheek, and I bent down to feed them.-God (Hosea 11:4)


HEAVEN HAS A PARTY!

Yes! When we accept Jesus’ love and grace, there is a party in Heaven! A party that we will be able to enjoy one day if we follow Jesus here on Earth. I am so excited to see you there one day! The question is…

Will you let Jesus find you where you are? Will you allow him to love you with his unending and tender love? I can assure you something… Once He finds you, your live will never be the same! You will feel whole, and completely loved. You will experience a beautiful peace and unending joy. Once Jesus finds you, and you look up to Him, you get a chance to make things right. You get to enjoy an abundant life in Him that no one can take away from you. His love endures forever, His love is not greedy, His love is sweet as honey, and enough to cover you completely. Jesus’ love is waiting for you.

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you and continued My faithfulness to you.”-God (Jeremiah 31:3)
